Folklore, Legend, Healing Properties of Turquoise
Folklore, Legend, Healing Properties of Turquoise:

To the Atlantians and American Indians, the Turquoise symbolized the sky, the breath of life and spirit, and was a reminder that man is a creature of spirit rather than flesh. Turquoise is a stone of courage, fulfillment and success. It is a marvelous stone (and colour) to wear around the neck to assist in clear communication, expressing oneself, and overcoming fear of public speaking. Turquoise represents strength and power. It is also considered to be a stone of friendship and loyalty.
It is particularly good for the throat, for the lungs and respiration, and, because of its high copper content, it is a wonderful conductor of healing. Assists with rheumatism and arthritis. Thought to bring prosperity and luck, especially if worn with a sapphire, the Turquoise is reputed to promote the regeneration of cells, protect against pollutants and strengthen the body. Used in ancient times to ward off accidents and given as a comfort to those about to undergo surgery.
It is a soft stone and can sometimes lose its colour. Should your Turquoise start to pale, don’t worry- simply leave it off for a few weeks and it should return to its normal brilliance. It is particularly powerful if worn with the Blue Sapphire.
