Sodalite is a deep purple-violet blue. Often confused with its sister stone Lapis Lazuli. It contains within it the energy to increase spiritual awareness. If held in the centre of the forehead, against the Third Eye, it can stimulate the opening to a new perspective. It is a link between all levels of consciousness. Sodalite is said to increase one’s confidence and to enhance creativity, and to have a balancing effect on one’s emotions and mental state. It is claimed to alleviate fear and bring clarity of mind and is a good stone for Psychic Protection. It is also said to enhance self-expression and communication, to eliminate confusion, bring peace and to facilitate spiritual growth. It balances the metabolism, lowers blood pressure, and helps sleep. If one is drawn to this stone, it is often because of physical deficiencies within the body, and Sodalite can balance the metabolism, especially the body’s production of insulin. In particular, Sodalite is said to help prevent diabetes and is useful in the treatment of digestive system disorders.
