YOUR COUNTENANCE, O friend, is
springtime and smiling!
How lovely and how sweet, beloved smiling!
I see you in eternal gardens, darling,
On branches as a pomegranate smiling.
Don’t go away from me a single moment,
My sweetheart, you with lovely cheeks and
smiling!
The city “World” is ruined without you,
It is destroyed, O emporor, all smiling!
A hundred roses are in love with you.
And wait near greenery and fountains smiling.
Your phantom in the forest of my heart:
A lion strong that seizes game a-smiling!
You always come from different directions
Just like the restless fortune ever smiling!
